Kevin has the experience needed to exceed on our behalf in Washington.
Before you vote on November 10, ask yourself this: Are candidates only talking about how to be successful in Washington or is there a candidate who actually knows how to get Washington to take action. A record of results is worth more than campaign promises.
My professional career includes a track record of working in Washington on issues that matter to the voters of the First District. Over the years, I've worked closely with a bipartisan group of Senators and Representatives, their staffs, and Executive Branch agencies to help those leaders understand specific policy issues and how those issues might best be addressed, including:
- Bringing new federal resources to the Peninsula for children’s healthcare facilities, cancer treatment facilities, and training future generations of our region’s nurses.
- Helping communities secure new roads, bridges and transit resources to solve the congestion crisis that occurs when growth outpaces infrastructure.
- Implementing public-private partnerships that help provide communities economic development opportunities in critical new industries like bioengineering and alternative energies research.
- Aiding leading institutions of higher education in working with the federal government on math and science education programs that will make our future workforce more competitive in a global marketplace.
- Navigating the maze of federal bureaucracy for entities such as local governments, hospitals, colleges and universities, transportation authorities and cultural institutions working on a range of civic problems including transportation, law enforcement, economic development, healthcare, and education.
